I have read the novel rather for a long time, here only to write the review under this book all somehow it was impossible. To me all was not possible to define for itself, that it for the book. Everything was not clear, beginning from the category to which it can be carried and finishing a book estimation as that in general.

Recently one of my friends has popularly explained, that if action occurs in the world:

1) once allocated with high technologies, but because of natural cataclysm, nuclear war or simply gone mad technics lost all former blessings;

2) in which from the remained population remains not so many people, and they have managed to lose even the minimum hope of happy end of occurring events. The main employment of people a survival and slaughter similar;

3) where all the same there is a purpose for the sake of which a quantity of people, once, is going to and, having forgotten about the shkurnyh interests, start to bear light in weights :-).

So, if novel action, more or less, gets under action though one of these points such novel can be carried safely to kiber to the punk (at least, percent on 50). After so accessible explanation it became clear, that Young's novel is practically pure kiber the punk. Remains only it will be defined with the relation to the book.

The book consists of two products: the novel "LOST LIGHT" and to lead "ADMISSION". Action occurs in ours to you the world. However, from the world habitual for us there were only small horns yes legs. The planet has gone mad. People live, as rats. There are the small governmental sectors covered by domes and reliably protected from any intrusion. These are unique places where were saved though any similarity of an order and decent existence. In other places any more that that is not recommended to leave on street at night, but also it is necessary to think ten times in the afternoon, and whether it is necessary to creep out on light divine.

Cities are supervised by gangs, the police still continues to exist, but on essence this same gang which lives rackets and requisitions. Accordingly, the police steers clear of gangster dismantlings — after all them kill in the same way as well as other mere mortals.

There is a separate caste (not strongly pronounced) are drivers. Though messages between cities also have stood, but they still are, so it is necessary to carry cargoes. Safety on roads garantirovanna only to the governmental lorries carrying radioactive materials, and that even on these cars periodically attack, what be the morons who are not honouring or simply not knowing about contracts between associations. So even the governmental lorries cannot be assured of the safety what to speak about other cars. Each flight it as a trip on a next world. So the planet has not the best times, blood flows like water, people have lost humanity and live worse rats. And over a planet turns the companion — artificial reason, it the orbital control. Periodically it sends on the earth of Glitches which copies people in a matrix for the computer paradise created by this reason. The Glitch then destroys people who have received this honour, as there is nothing to gad in two worlds at once.

So also there lived people in this full hopelessness, but there are secret monasteries which the purpose of the brotherhood have chosen destruction of this vile bogoprotivnogo artificial reason. Here only to the purpose they go not prays and belief. The brotherhood spills blood more, than all Glitches together taken. The clones created by monks have surpassed for a long time already the usual person in the possibilities, and now can operate other people with ease which even it is impossible for itself to present. Usual people are rescued only by one: not too many these monastic monsters.

Struggle so to say in a full heat and who will come out from it the winner to predict it is impossible. In the course of struggle so much people are destroyed, that simply is not clear by the moment of a victory any of the parties, whether there are people in general.

The book abounds with the blood and cruelty abundance, I would not recommend to read some scenes to people with weak mentality for the night.

Now about incomprehensibility according to the book: if with the story "ADMISSION" all is more or less clear, about the novel "LOST LIGHT" I have not understood at all. To tell the truth, I and have not understood neither essences, nor sense of this product. All is described is very live and naturally, the world is majestic and krovav, characters are natural and characteristic. And the sense, probably, all the same is, I am simple it have not understood.
